HOSPITEC PROJECT. PRESENTS NEW DEVELOPMENTS

HOSPITEC PROJECT. PRESENTS NEW DEVELOPMENTS

This past annuity of the Hospitec project has been very fruitful.

Activities and tasks related to the creation of an appliance have been completed. The goal is to manage both its computational resources and resources requested from the three supported public clouds (Amazon, Azure and Google Compute Engine).

Cryptographic techniques have been applied to secure networks and their connections. The aim is to keep both storage and communications protected.

Another point that has been completed is that of monitoring and billing, which have been necessary to verify the proper functioning and to report the computational use and cost that this has involved.

Within the appliance, significant progress has also been made:

1) in service management automation

2) supporting the use of virtual machines with Openstack

3) and Docker containers with Kubernetes.

In addition, the groundwork has been laid to complete end-of-project service lifecycle automation. To do this, a web interface has been designed:

  • To simplify the DevOps operation of hospital services.
  • Multitenancy user management has been implemented:
    • Facilitating self-provisioning for customers.
    • Facilitating remote version management from the service provider.
